Singapore Zoo: Public can visit the Koalas on 20 May 2015

The Koalas have finally settled down at the Singapore Zoo and the public can starts visiting these fluffy animals from 20 May 2015, 12PM.

Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) has also dedicated a page on Koalamania to chronicle their journey from Australia to Singapore.

There are four koalas  – named Chan, Idalia, Paddle and Pellita and WRS has came up with a brief biography for each koalas on their website.

They are currently housed in the Singapore Zoo’s Australian Outback zone with their favourite trees and a climate control environment, so they are pretty well taken care of.

Singapore Zoo: Four Koalas from Australia Coming to Singapore

Koala at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

We have Kai Kai and Jia Jia, the cute giant pandas at River Safari.

Soon, we are going to add 4 more Koalas named Paddle, Pellita, Chan and Idalia into our Singapore Zoo.

According to the original article on Channelsnewasia, this four Koalas will be on loan from Australia’s Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary as part of the SG50 celebration and the 50 years of diplomatic ties between Singapore and Australia.

They will arrive here as soon as next week with the official handover on the 20 May 2015.
